Two future legends of MMA fought in the finals of European MMA championship organized by M-1 promotion on April 9, 2000 in St.-Petersburg.
You can watch semifinal fight, Arlovski vs. Dutch fighter Michael Tielrooy, on our YouTube channel. In his semifinal it took only two minutes for Roman Zentsov to win against Gennadiy Matsigora.
It was the first tournament in Russian’s career, while Belarus fighter came back after his battle against Vyacheslav Datsik. Both Roman and Andrei were still very young fighters in 2000 and haven’t got their fighting nicknames yet. But future Russian Hammer and Pitbull were ready to make great show for the fans and determine the most deserving fighter in the battle for the belt.
