This fight was legendary in many regards. Two superstars from MMA world fought at one of the biggest and epic events that was even held in Russia. The hype around this event was simply incredible in 2011, and now, 10 years later, many fighters still have the memories about this fight.
Fedor lost three fights in a row at Strikeforce event and was seriously thinking about finishing his career. This should be the last fight of the Last Emperor, thanks to M-1 it was held in Moscow. The event was sold out in Olimpiisky Stadium, everyone wanted to watch and support the legendary Russian champion, because it’s been just the second fight of Fedor in Russia and the first in Moscow.
