Making his highly-anticipated United States debut, 126-pound world champion Lee Selby had a tough test on his hands against former 3-division champ Fernando Montiel on PBC on ESPN. Selby immediately brandished an exciting, fast-paced style that has made him a fan favorite across the pond, taking the fight to Montiel early. In rounds 5 & 6, Montiel's veteran savvy showed through, as he began to get inside on the longer Selby and even opened up a good-sized cut over Selby's right eye. Selby dug deep, though, and closed the fight with a handful of solid late rounds en route to a Unanimous Decision victory.
